Welcome to Rivercity, a small town in Iowa. When Harold Hill arrives selling band instruments with a promise of a boys band, it seems too good to be true. And it is. Marian Paroo sees right through the con man but doesn't expose him because her shy little brother is so excited about the band Harold is forming. When she finds herself falling for him, and him for her, everything begins to get complicated, and Harold has to decide if he's willing to give up everything for her.
